Malta’s Police Arrest Two Persons With Possession Of 850g Suspected Cocaine And €66,000 In Cash

Malta’s police drug squad has arrested two persons in relation to possession of 850g of suspected cocaine, and a ‘considerable amount’ of money.

The arrests took place on Thursday, following intense investigations that saw Malta’s police apprehend a 42-year old woman close to her apartment in Marsaskala, in possession of 100g of cocaine.

The ensuing search in the apartment led to the arrest of another – a 32-year-old man in possession of 750g of the same drug, and around €66,000 in cash.

Police investigations remain underway, with the arrested persons expected to appear in court at 11:30 am today before Magistrate Josette Demicoli.
