Over Two-Thirds Of Maltese People Had Plans For A Holiday Abroad This Year

The latest data from the Malta Summer Sentiment 2023 survey reveals that nearly 63% of Maltese people have planned or are planning an overseas vacation this summer. This is significantly higher than the 40.5% who reported opting for a local holiday.
The data, brought to light by MaltaSurvey in collaboration with Standard Publications Limited and IDEA Intelligence, sheds light on the Maltese population’s travel preferences and spending habits for the summer season.

Meanwhile, other global destinations like Asia, North America, and Australia garnered less than 2% preference each. When it came to holiday durations, a full week’s holiday was most popular at 23.9%, with extended holidays of over a week coming in second at 20.3%.
