The race is way beyond boiling point, with over 7,000 of you being valid entrants to the Competition across Instagram and Facebook.

A whopping 6,827 of you left a comment on Instagram, while a further 698 of you dropped us a line over on Facebook. 

Remember, to be a contender in the Competition, you must have:

1. Liked or followed or Facebook page or Instagram account
2. Liked the tag-and-win post on the respective page or account
3. Tagged a fellow foodie in the comments sections
4. Shared the post on your Facebook/Instagram Story

Who are the finalists?

Over the next few days, we’ll be picking four finalists from our 7,000+ potential winners. Two lucky contestants from our Facebook post, and two contestants from our Instagram post will be selected at random for the Grand Final. Here our four finalists will go head-to-head in a series of rounds, battling it out for the title of Malta’s Ultimate Foodie.

What do you win?

With over 100 (and counting) restaurants on board, three incredible dining and cooking experiences, and a droolworthy collection of upcoming eateries for our runner-up to sample, we can only imagine you’re on tenterhooks to find out who’s made it to the final round of the Epic Foodie Competition. Here’s what you could be walking away with.

1st place

Over 100 restaurants, eateries, bars and food trucks are contributing to our winner’s Grand Prize, with a meal for two (or similar equivalent) from participating establishments. With three Michelin-starred restaurants, two Bib Gourmand winners, 14 bars & restobars, vegan eateries, and mouthwatering outlets from Marsaskala to the gorgeous sister island, we’re sure to have your lunch- and dinner-dates covered for the foreseeable future.

You could also walk away with two private dining experiences (thanks to the legendary Rafel Sammut and all-star Matt Vella) and a cooking class for two (courtesy of the incredible team at the Mediterranean Culinary Academy).

Runner-up finalist

Our second-place foodie won’t be going home empty-handed! Thanks to some of Malta and Gozo’s newest eateries, the most innovative culinary minds, and definite contenders for our Lovin Recommends 2023 listing, our runner-up finalist will also get the chance to experience each of these six eateries (with more and more expressing interest every day).
