The First Open-Air Sushi And Teppanyaki Restaurant Is Opening In The Deep South Of Malta
Another quality restaurant is heading south
Marsaxlokk may have just gotten a little bit better with the announcement of a new teppanyaki and sushi restaurant opening in just a few weeks.
With access to some of the freshest fish on the island, The Oyster Lounge will be serving freshly made sushi right by the sea - perfect for a healthy meal on a hot summer's day.
Marsaxlokk already serves some of the best fish on the island, and the addition of a sushi restaurant only diversifies the town's offerings.
But the sushi is just one part of the new restaurant.
The Oyster Lounge has signed an up-and-coming teppanyaki chef from Japan to wow Maltese crowds with her insane skills and tricks on the stove.
If you've never experienced it, teppanyaki is quite unlike any other foodie experience.
A teppanyaki chef getting to work
A teppanyaki chef cooks your meal right in front of you, usually on a flat surface grill, and performs tricks and impressive stunts with your food as you sit, stare, and chew away in wonderment.
Apart from the sushi and teppanyaki, the place also has an open air terrace as well as a dining area that can become a dance-floor as soon as the DJ/live band drops a banger.
Under the same management as the newly opened Tex Mex South, and located next door to it, the place is getting all its final touches done before opening in around five weeks.
And as far as head chef Adam is concerned, there's only one thing to say before they open: "Expect to lounge into another world."
