7 Unique Gifts For Father’s Day This Sunday
Your dad probably says it all the time, and Father’s Day is as good a time as any to start listening: the best gift you can give someone is your time. But don’t waste your Sunday drinking tepid coffee and talking politics, get out there and do something memorable!
1. Head to Gozo, rent a quadbike and pick up some delicious Maxokk pizzas on the way.
You’ll get to tour the island in style and eat Maxokk? Sounds perfect. If you really want to mix things up, you can get Mekren instead of the usual Maxokk.
2. Plan the ultimate football day.
With the Euro now in full swing, there’s no better time to treat your footy obsessed father. Move all the furniture out of the TVs way, set up a beer station and a snacks table and you’re set for the day. You can even download and re-watch some old classic matches your dad has been going on about for years!
3. Go on an all you can eat food tour.
Start your day with breakfast at NYB, head to Valletta for a pulled pork for lunch, have a perfect pancake dessert at Shoreditch, and if there’s still some space left, head to Fontanella for tea and coffee (and cake?).
4. Try all the whisky
Book a table at a whisky bar and spend your evening reminiscing about the good old days.
5. Rent a vintage sports car and spend the day driving around this island.
A convertible on the coast road sounds like a perfect Sunday.
6. Go to Antonio’s Barber Shop for a guy’s day out
Spend the afternoon with your dad playing pool, trimming your beards, getting a haircut and massage (and maybe even a tattoo?).
7. Go for a long walk around Fomm ir-Rih
Soak up the sun and some of Malta’s best views.
