It’s Official! Ira Losco is Pregnant
Malta’s Eurovision hopeful Ira Losco has finally confirmed the rumours that she’s pregnant.
She made the announcement this morning on Facebook to celebrate Mother’s Day.
“I’m so happy you’ve all been part of this journey with me and I’m happy to have shared many important moments in my life with you all. I’m ecstatic that my boyfriend Sean, family and friends are here to support me all the way. To add to all the excitement I’m also celebrating my First Mother’s Day as a mother-to-be. Sean Gravina and I are very very happy to finally share this news with you all which some of you might have guessed already.”
“We never thought we would have been so blessed with such beautiful news accompanying this Eurovision experience which has given me so much strength both as an artist and as a private person. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the mothers of the world a happy Mother’s Day, Kudos to all of you! MOST of all to my mother who has been my rock through it all!!”
Since her second dress rehearsal, speculation has mounted over whether she is expecting a child.
Ira Losco will not be the first Eurovision star to perform with a baby bump. Four singers before her have also performed pregnant.
That said, she’s still in the running to be the first pregnant Eurovision winner.
Ira Losco, who is among the favourites among bookies to win this year’s festival, will be singing her song Walk on Water.
This is the second time the popular Maltese starlet will be taking part in the Eurovision, having placed second in 2002 with 7th Wonder.
