Yorgen Fenech confessed to murder. He shares a doctor with Keith Schembri, Muscat’s chief of staff. That doctor confessed to passing messages from Schembri to Fenech while Fenech was in custody. 10:02 pm – Yorgen Fenech has appealed to the President of Malta George Vella to grant him a presidential pardon, saying he has new information concerning Chris Cardona, Konrad Mizzi, and Keith Schembri.
9: 51 pm – Keith Schembri has been released from police custody. His release comes on the same night that Yorgen Fenech directly named him while under oath.

9:25 pm – There’s been a major development. Yorgen Fenech has filed a constitutional case calling for Inspector Arnaud to be removed from the murder investigation. The shocking accusations, which Fenech is swearing to under oath, can be read in full here

-The police commissioner has turned down Yorgen Fenech’s request to remove inspector Keith Arnaud from the murder case
-Over in London, a group of Maltese people have gathered outside the Maltese High Commission to protest for the resignation of Muscat.
5:50 pm – Infrastructure Malta has dismissed Yorgen Fenech’s claim that the Prime Minister’s chief of staff Keith Schembri had helped the wife of chief homicide inspector Keith Arnaud land a job at its offices.

Former Labour Party general secretary and PL veteran Jason Micallef has lashed out at Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando after JPO’s status earlier today “saluting” Daphne Caruana Galizia for exposing “a web of corruption which has put our country to shame”.
In his long and scathing status, Jason Micallef made reference to the Mistra scandal of 2008 and JPO’s switch from PN to PL.
