Tributes Pour In After The Sudden Death Of ‘Blood On The Crown’ Producer Pedja Miletic

Pedja Miletic, a decorated producer based in Malta, best known for his film production of the 2021 Sette Giugno epic, “Blood on the Crown,” passed away yesterday.
Pedja gained nationwide recognition following his involvement in the historic film which was named “Best Post-Production” at the 2022 Malta Film Awards among six other awards.
Co-producer Aaron Briffa took to Facebook to express his grief, following the announcement of Pedja’s death by his wife, Petra.
“A terrible end to 2024 and a most horrible morning. My love, my hero, my everything,” Petra’s post read, as reported by Times of Malta, “You loved me for who I was. I don’t know how life will go on without you.”
“Today is a profoundly sad day. I’m going to miss you so much, buddy,” Briffa said, “We shared so much laughing, crying, adventuring and dreaming. Most of all, we stood together with dignity and respect, no matter what came our way.”
Pedja has worked on multiple productions throughout his career, both on a national scale and internationally, from local documentaries to overseas features like the 2020 Rose Island and Cagefighter.
His latest work was on Prime Minister Robert Abela’s end-of-year message, which featured segments of an orchestral performance of the Maltese National Anthem and sung by Ira Losco.
“His work spoke for itself, just as many who worked with Pedja speak of the energy, enthusiasm, and love he always brought to his craft,” Abela said, “Who would have thought that his last piece of work would be just a few days ago, on the production of the Maltese anthem launched yesterday during the New Year’s message? Condolences to his loved ones.”
The production was filmed a few days before Christmas and published on New Year’s Eve, just hours before his death.
Lovin Malta extends its deepest condolences to Pedja’s family, friends and colleagues.
May he rest in peace.
