Mosta Mayor Ignores All Questions On Tree ‘Pruning’ As Temperatures Soar While She Enjoys Santa Marija Week

Mosta’s Mayor seems to be enjoying Santa Marija week after repeatedly ignoring simple questions regarding a controversial tree pruning exercise in the area.

A little over a week ago, trees in a square along Triq Anglu Gatt in Mosta were severely pruned despite it being the height of summer.

Lovin Malta was curious to see as to why the Mosta Local Council would choose to harshly remove a vital source of shade just as temperatures soar.  It also sought to clarify whether it was a pruning or uprooting exercise.

However, emails, calls, and messages have all been ignored, with Mayor Romilda Baldacchino Zarb apparently unwilling to reply to or even acknowledge any questions and reminders sent.

Baldacchino Zarb only won the locality’s mayorship last May after the Labour Party wrestled back control over the local council.

However, it seems communication may not be Baldacchino Zarb’s strong suit.
