The Kardashian Family Might Be Coming To Malta ‘At Some Stage’
Celebrity reality TV family the Kardashians might very well find themselves in Malta very soon… that is, if millionaire philanthropist Mark Weingard has his say.
Weingard casually broke the news yesterday during Episode 10 of Lovin Live while retelling his very eventful life story. Frequently called ‘the luckiest man in the world’, Mark Weingard is a British entrepreneur-turned-philantropist who’s been through it all.
Decades into his accomplishments, Weingard had ended up hosting the entire Kardashian clan at his beautifully-designed resort in Thailand. The celebrity family had ended up filming three whole episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which Weingard said was all thanks to the hotel’s setting and the work of ten separate designers.
“I had my 15 minutes of fame,” Mark told Chucky and Lovin Live’s other guest, Jacqui Losco. Apparently, he didn’t even know who the family was, but was quick to welcome them to the beautiful Iniala resort. “To be honest with you, we’ve had lots of other stars stay there,” Weingard said, definitely helping his credibility.
This was the perfect segue for Mark to talk about Iniala Valletta, a project he has in mind for Malta’s capital. Located on the Barbara Bastions, the luxury resort looks like it’s going to be one of Malta’s most beautiful buildings, inside and out.
“Well, we’re going to bring them hopefully to Malta at some stage,” he told a hyperventilating Chucky. “We want the Kardashians here.” He even offered Chucky an interview opportunity if the family ends up on the island!
“We’re delighted to bring to Malta a little bit of pizzaz,” Mark said, while hoping the Kardashians would stay at the new Iniala Valletta resort should they find themselves on the rock.
And while we’re sure that there are many people out there already flexing their fingers to rage-type, “Who the hell cares?!”, just think for a second how awesome – let alone hilarious – it would be to have the Kardashian clan roaming the streets of Malta. Also, would Kris Jenner and Carina Camilleri end up having a celebrity deathmatch in the streets of Valletta for the ultimate Maltese Celebrity Momager title?
Mark’s comment on the Kardashian family possibly coming to Malta might’ve been an amazing revelation for many fans of the celebrity family out there, but it wasn’t even this week’s only highlight from Lovin Live.
Monday’s episode also featured Jacqui Losco, who has made a name for herself far beyond simply being Ira’s younger sister by becoming a highly successful model and dancer. Jacqui and Chucky, who actually go way back to Sixth Form, exchanged some hilarious banter… not to mention the good old shade we’ve gotten used to seeing on Lovin Live shows.
Jacqui might’ve shied away from singing and giving her sister a run for her money, but she definitely did not refrain from discussing other topics, such as the recent Carina-Sarah-Zerafa kerfuffle. “If the designer wants you, if the agency wants you, why say no? If you can walk, do it,” she said, being a short but highly successful model herself. She also took the opportunity to put online perverts on blast, saying “some people are sick, and if you’re going to be sick with me, be sick with everyone.”
As is tradition, the episode also had a couple of challenges in store for our guests.
Chucky showed some photos to our guests, asking them to sing the first thing that came to their mind. And while he might’ve been expecting Jacqui to unleash her inner Losco, it was actually Mark who belted out the first tune, thanks to a photo of himself and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré.
And while Jacqui might’ve only given us a glimpse of her singing talents with a couple of very quick reinterpretations of some of her sister’s most popular songs, it was surely enough to make loads of people out there ask for more.
This week’s episode was also jam-packed with inspirational stories.
From Mark Weingard’s story about how he had three near misses from 9/11 to a tsunami in Thailand, to the stories of two projects which were awarded at his Social Impact Awards.
First we spoke to the overall winners OOPS, who have an incredible project that seeks to bring a mental health clinic to the students of Naxxar’s Sixth Form completely free of charge. Knowing how tumultous that time can be for may we can’t wait to see it in action.
The second group to join the show were the team behind SAHA, a project that’s going to see migrant African women bring the taste of their home to the streets of Malta with a food truck we cannot wait to queue up outside of. And if yesterday’s treats are anything to go by, they’re gonna be a huge hit.
You’re going to want to set aside 30 minutes to watch this week’s episode, and here it is. Look out for the Kardashians reference around the 13th minute mark.
We’d like to thank our sponsors throughout the show, Satariano Home for the stunning furniture, Laferla for insuring Chucky, P. Cutajar for the wine, Kaxxa Packaging, and Muscats Motors for graciously providing Chucky’s ride!
Stay tuned for next week’s Lovin Live episode as we near the end of the series!
