The victims of last night’s tragic traffic accident by the roundabout connecting Mġarr and Mosta have been identified as Graziella Mallia, 53, and her daughter Fallon Mallia, 33.

Meanwhile, a one-year-old baby suffered grievous injuries, as did an 11-year-old boy and two men, aged 31 and 44.

The Mallias were the driver and passenger of a Maruti 800, which ended up on a central strip after colliding with an Audi A1 on a site where road widening works are currently taking place. According to ONE News, the crash took place after one of the cars was driving on the wrong way. The A1 ended up in a ditch that is part of ongoing local roadworks.

This was the second accident to take place on that street in the span of a few days after a Ferrari driver crashed his car and ended up in a ditch on Saturday.
