Watch: Henry Galea Surprises Beloved Sacked Headmaster Mario Mallia In Emotional Reunion
Former students, colleagues and swathes of the general public remain shocked over the sacking of former St Albert the Great headmaster Mario Mallia – and one of them really wanted to give him a heartwarming surprise as the saga continues to unfold.
Fresh from his return from Los Angeles, California where he’s been linking up with everyone from Lil Nas X to Jeffree Star, Malta’s very own Henry Galea showed up at the Lovin Malta offices today after he heard that Mario would be showing up for his first interview since his story went national.
Henry, a former student of the college, has already gone public with his respect and admiration for the headmaster and teacher known for his inclusive policies.
Walking in right after his interview ends, Mario can’t help but shout in surprise when he sees Henry, before the two of them embrace.

After reacting in surprise, Henry asks for a hug, to which Mario says: “I’ll give you twenty, not one.”
Henry then gifts Mario a small pendant saying ‘Grazzi ta’ kollox‘, before sharing his feelings with him.
“Just so you know, everyone is with you on this,” Henry says. ‘I don’t know if you saw Facebook, but I will not be quiet until justice is seen by you,” he continues as Mario beams emotionally.
Mario was fired by the Rector and Board of the school in a story that has seen protests hit the streets of Valletta outside the school and many opinion writers across the island sharing their condemnation of it.
The school maintains he was fired due to issues that remained unresolved for years, but Mario himself says it was over inclusive policies that he implemented in the school.
Lovin Malta will be releasing an interview with the former headmaster later this evening in his first public comments on Facebook.
