A woman was rushed to hospital following a late-night brawl on Triq Testaferrata in Ta’ Xbiex. 

In a statement, police said that they were called to the scene at 12.30am after reports of a fight between two women. A sharp object was used during the fight. 

One woman, aged 47, required medical assistance after suffering grievous injuries. The other woman fled the scene. 

The woman was taken to Mater Dei for future treatment, while a police investigation is underway.
