Fierce From Day One: Killer Looks From Malta Fashion Week’s First Night
Influencers, bloggers, socialites and fashionistas from all around the island will be strutting their best looks at the annual Malta Fashion Week for the next couple of days, and while things only kicked off last night, St Elmo has already seen its fair share of daring and stunning OOTDs for 2019.
Amidst three impressive runways by Rosemarie Abela, Architecture in Fashion and Drew & Crew, the unofficial show was happening all round, with killer looks galore.
And while there might’ve just been too many to choose from, here are some highlights from last night.
1. Sarah Zerafa brought Black Swan to Malta
Repping Drew & Crew on their big night, Sosa complemented her look with a big ol’ tiara to remind everyone who’s the subscriber queen.
2. … and Stella Cini came in with some bubblegum pink
Anyone who follows Stella Cini’s YouTube videos (and believe you me, there are hundreds of thousands of people who do) will know how much of an important role colourful wigs play in the influencer’s looks.
For Fashion Week 2019’s first look, Stella worked around a new pink wig courtesy of VP Fashion… and it sure worked out!
3. Lovin Malta’s Top Influencer went Audrey Hepburn meets Carrie Bradshaw, courtesy of Fashion Week 2019’s first designer
The Queen herself, Tamara Webb repped Rosemarie Abela for an all-white outfit that was equally glamorous and casual, looking fresh AF ahead of summer.
4. Fierce? You can say that again
Get a red suit, and add a glittery red veil. Sorted. Forever.
5. Gaia came in, casually slaying
“Can’t wait to show you the rest,” the young popstar told her over 35,000 followers on Instagram before heading to Valletta. We can’t help but agree.
6. She might’ve told us we’re not ready for her look, but we still managed to get a taste of Undine La Verve’s outrageous outfit
Sticking true to her burlesque roots, Undine came in with a lace corset and Censored pasties.
And while she warned us that we’re not ready for her outfit (and we’re sure not all of Malta is), we got a taste of Undine’s dramatic look thanks to Tamara Webb’s Instagram story. For the second time this article, #YasQueen!
7. Dressing up… and down
The Zammit Stevens sisters have built themselves up as influencer force to be reckoned with, and Jade proved that yesterday with a Rosemarie Abela outfit that featured on many an Instagram story.
8. We have a Dynamic Duo winner
From that iconic Dior saddle bag to those elbow-high gloves, there’s so much to unpack – and love – about these two outfits.
9. You can never go wrong with a Charles & Ron dress
“When your super amazing makeup artist is also turning into a good photographer, stylist and advisor, literally after crafting in minutes the exact same look You had in mind – then you know it is a right one,” Victoria Rotchenkova told her nearly 42,000 Instagram followers. Absolutely.
10. The OG Queen pulled out the big guns but still kept it simple and stylish
Balenciaga, Prada and Roger Vivier… it takes someone like Carina to show everyone who’s boss while still not going OTT.
11. Ground control to Major Rob
Straight outta Star Trek, Robert Agius took an already show-stopping Rosemarie Abela kimono and added mirrored visors, because why the hell not?!
12. Hard work pays off… and looks good too!
Being part of the organisational committee, it must’ve been an extremely tiring couple of weeks for Caroline Paris. Last night, though, it definitely didn’t show, as the stylist and fashion blogger strutted her stuff in a Ted Baker outfit, all made up by Jennifer Dimech.
13. The boss babe brought in the white and pink
“Don’t forget you’re a badass, so love yourself, live your best life, believe in your dreams, work at them, do what makes you happy and if you want to dye your hair, just go for it,” radio host and influencer Taryn Mamo-Cefai said, sharing her killer look. Work it girl!
14. Clinton Paul, everyone
A see-through, bright green blouse straight out of an alternate reality 17th century ball? It’s got to be Clinton Paul.
