7 Reasons Why Easter In Malta Is Better Than Christmas

We appreciate that many of you are foaming at the mouth with rage over the mere suggestion that anything could trump Christmas as the best time of the year. But we’re going to challenge it anyway.
Here’s seven irrefutable reasons why Easter in Malta is way better than Christmas.
1. The weather
Okay – it’s hardly ever super cold in Malta at Christmas, but nothing can beat the spring sunshine and greenery on the island at Easter. Clear win for the latter.

2. No shopping hassles
Christmas shopping is as close as Maltese people get to suicide. Not having to do it at Easter – win.

3. Figolli
We don’t need to explain this point.

4. The lunch
Christmas lunch is pretty epic – we’ll admit to that. But isn’t Easter’s lunch practically the same? We’re calling it a draw on this one.

5. Seba’ Visti / Midnight mass
Which sounds better: interrupting your evening plans with a late-night mass, or a day traipsing around some of Malta’s most beautiful churches in the sunshine? Yup. That’s what we thought.

6. Xeba chocolate instead of Panettone
Nobody misses that that shit, seriously.

7. Easter eggs totally trump Advent Calendars
One tiny half-bite of chocolate every day, or a gigantic feast of chocolate with even more chocolate inside?
There’s no contest.
