Moviment Graffitti Strongly Denies Receiving Donations From Anyone Linked To Golden Passport Scheme

Local activist group Moviment Graffitti has categorically denied ever having knowingly received donations from anybody linked to the golden passport scheme.
In a letter sent to Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri, Graffitti refuted his disclosure alleging that a number of organisations had received financial aid from people linked to the scheme.
Another organisation allegedly implicated in his disclosure was Repubblika.
“We can confirm that we have not received any donation indicating that it was being made by a golden passport scheme applicant,” Movement Graffitti said yesterday.
“Nor were there any donations – none – that is close to the €10,000 requested by the passport scheme.”
One can argue that Moviment Graffitti, which is an activist group against the oppression and exploitation of people, the environment, and animals, and a vision of freedom and radical democracy – espouses values that are in direct opposition to the profit-driven motivations which drove the scheme.
Prior to MG’s denunciation of this “false claim” – Repubblika released a statement claiming that it was also being falsely accused of having received such donations.
“If someone gave us a donation linked to this scheme,” Moviment Graffitti said, “this was done without being declared to us”.
“Moviment Graffitti is against the golden passport scheme and would not knowingly accept donations that are used to meet the criteria of this lousy scheme.”
It is not clear where Camilleri sourced this allegedly false information, and the identities of alleged passport scheme-linked donors have not yet been released.
In the past, some have asked PM Robert Abela and other Labour politicians if they ever made any money from the scheme.
