Veteran TV broadcaster John Bundy will return to TVM this October with a new entertainment show that will air every Saturday night.

A promo for ‘Bundytime’ shows Bundy walking through the streets of Paola as fans stop him and urge him to return to television.

One of the most recognisable faces of Maltese TV, Bundy has worked in the industry for decades, presenting shows on TVM, ONE, NET and Smash.

He was appointed CEO of PBS in 2016 but was dismissed a year later in light of an audit into a car leading deal. He was awarded €113,244 as compensation by a court of appeal after his dismissal was found to be unjust.

Bundytime is one of a number of new shows that have been confirmed for the new TVM season. Singing competition The Voice Kids Malta is set to air its first season during the Friday night primetime slot while Malta’s Got Talent will return on Sunday night after a one-year absence.

A social impact show called Changemakers will also air, offering grants of up to €100,000 to people who pitch initiatives to improve Malta.

However, Mustaċċuni – the Friday night entertainment show featuring Ron Briffa and Ray Calleja that had controversially replaced Serataron last year – won’t return for a second season.
